Wow!!! It's been quite a while since I've posted! Sorry about the silence.
I think between Sir Nottaguy-Imadad getting the flu and my extended battle with tonsillitis and ear infections, I lost my ability to form sentences that made sense.
Seriously, it's been a long, long time since either of us were that sick! And it just happened to occur at the same point in time. THAT'S never good! However, other than naggy coughs, we are both finally well again.
Basically, there's just not been much going on around here other than the normal living. Preschool is starting to wind down for the year. I decided to take the summer off and focus on teaching Eva to read and trying to help Shanna express herself with real words rather than grunts, points, and tears. I, also, plan on getting a lot of sewing done. I need some new clothes and I just can't find the stuff I like at the prices I can afford to pay.
Sir and I are gearing up for our first real vacation in a couple of years. It will wind up with us being able to be at Daniel's graduation from Liberty University on the Saturday before Mother's Day. We're definitely ready to leave town and the normal day to day stuff behind for a week! A friend of ours has agreed to stay at our house and Sparky sit. This is nice, because Mr Ferocious doesn't do kennels well at all! I'm really excited about our vacation. We'll spend time with The Lemons and then head south to see some of my family in West Virginia before going to Lynchburg, Virginia. I've been so homesick for West Virginia that I almost wish I could leave today!
While my blog may have been silent, I've been really enjoying reading some of your blogs! Linds at Rocking Chair Reflections has been keeping the banners flying for England. I love reading her commentary on life in the UK! Big Mama not only has done her normal wonderful job of blogging, she also released her first book "Sparkly Green Earrings". If you haven't read it, you should. I downloaded it on my Kindle and have read it twice! I found a new blog A Perfect Lily via Instagram and have enjoyed getting to "know" the Rice family through it.
Well, it's time to get Eva out of bed, dressed, fed and ready for preschool. Have a lovely day!
