The morning started out okay, but the forecast was for a major snow storm to start around noon. The weatherman missed by about 2 1/2 hours. By 9:30 it was snowing, then it started SNOWING BIG FLAKES, THEN the wind started blowing and the snow was blowing parallel to the ground.
About 11 a.m., the local school district decided that it was closing the Middle School and High School at 1 p.m., and the elementaries at 2 p.m. By 2 p.m., you could not see the ground, and there were blizzard conditions. Around that time the bank decided that all of the branches were to close by 5:30 p.m. (my office is usually opened until 7 p.m.), so that meant that I had to contact my business customers that had not made it into the bank, yet.
This is what everything looked like Saturday:
My PT with better than 6 inches of snow.
The WonderHusband valiantly trying to move 11+ inches of snow off of the driveway. He was running out of places to pile it, so my poor flowering crab is getting buried.
The birds were so hungry that my feeders weren't able to keep up with the demand, so we put seed on the banisters of the porch.
The WH finally was able to finish shovelling the snow this morning (Sunday), however just after he finished the snow plow came thru and re-buried the entrance to the driveway. (Figures!) He finished shovelling again just in time to take a shower and get ready for the lone church service today.
Just in case anyone is interested, I'm more than ready for Spring to come and stay! I'm tired of snow, ice and cold!!!
