Well, let's see...
Since my last post, our Spanish class almost succeeded in pulling off a surprise birthday party for our teacher, Missy. (She turned 28 on St. Patty's day!) Unfortunately, her husband wasn't able to delay her as much as we needed him to so that we would have time to get everything set up. It was still lots of fun!!! PS--Happy Birthday, again, Missy!
Wednesday, we got one of those wonderful "surprise" snow storms that Ohio is famous for in March! It had been raining ALL! DAY!, and then just about 6 p.m., it started sleeting, then snowing, and before it was all over with there was about 1 1/2" of snow. AND there was about double that in slush on the roads!!! Have I mentioned that I am heartily sick of snow this year??? I am soooooo ready for Spring to come and stay!!!!
Also, on Weds. my mom's doctor confirmed that she was starting to have more frequent TIA episodes and that she was most likely building towards a major stroke. He said that the only thing left to do is to control her diet as much as possible, and then hang on and pray. Controlling the diet of an obstinant 87 yr. old, is nearly impossible, so we are sticking with the prayer and trusting God!!
Yesterday, Jessica was notified that she had passed her State Tested Nursing Assistant exam! YAY!!!! Now, the real fun can begin. (Hopefully, she'll be able to start nursing school within the next year!)
Today the WonderHusband was off of work, so he and David Riley spent the day hanging out together. They surprised my mom's home health aide's daughter, by delivering her Easter Basket. (WH was wearing his Easter Bunny ears!!) C was a little befuddled at first, then she thought it was pretty cool. Then the boys headed off to visit with my FIL for a short time. FIL was very happy to see both of them, but he got a little irritated with his home nurse and his therapist because they both made sure to tell WH that Dad had fallen while trying to take food out to the cats. (Dad was home by himself when this happened!)
I spent a good majority of the day answering the phone at work and saying: "Yes, we are open regular hours today and tomorrow." Good ol' extended office hours!!! So much fun on a Holiday weekend!!!
Oh, yeah, I've been fitting in some sewing as I have time.
Other than that, there really hasn't been much happening!!
What's new with you???

.....or answering txts to say that "yes, we are open till 7p.m." Good ol' First Knox!! Well, we were very appreciative, since we didn't make it there until 6:45! :) Glad you were open!! :) (Even if you weren't actually "there" at that time...)
Oh, Carolyn!! I WAS there! I had to work until 7 in the Commercial Window. =)
It snowed big snows here Wednesday too, but it didn't stick. Thursday was gorgeous. I'm done with winter too :)
Michigan gets those "wait, it's not Spring yet!" storms, too. I think I've given up on Spring this year.
You must be so excited waiting for your new grandbaby!
Belated congrats on 300 posts! :-D
