True Story!
This past weekend one of my customers was taking advantage of the beautiful weather to do some yard work. He is one of those ultra finicky gardeners, and his yard always looks letter-perfect.
He was spraying all of his spring flowers with some kind of concoction to keep the deer from eating them. (And I do mean ALL! OF! THEM!) But he didn't get around on Saturday to planting the multiple baskets of pansies in their carefully prepared beds. He left the baskets sitting on his deck, and figured he would do those on Sunday.
Sunday morning, Mr. Finicky Gardener goes out on his deck to start moving his pansies to the flower beds--lo and behold--there is not a single flower left in the baskets. Every! one! of! them! has! been! eaten! almost! to! the! potting! soil!
The friendly neighborhood deer, decided that they were hungry enough to brave walking up on the deck to have a tasty snack!
He was still mad enough to be stomping his foot as he told me about the incident!
I laughed for a good 15 minutes out loud and I am not just using that as a tired old phrase!!!
