Just wanted to let you all know that Liz has had the baby!!! I'm posting from her computer and don't have any way to link pictures here, so I will add pics to this post later.
Zachary Ross Gossom was born at 4:08 p.m. March 31, 2008. He weighed 7 lbs. .06 oz. and was 20 1/4 inches long. He has dark hair and looks like a good combination of Liz and Chris.
His big sister ~K~ was very, VERY happy to meet her baby brother and get to hold him. David Riley was uncharacteristically quiet other than to say "He's BEEUTIFUL!!" However, he stood in line for his chance to hold Zachary!
We made the trip from Mt. Vernon to Florence in record time (despite semis that were going 45 mph!!!) and arrived just in time for Jessica to sprint thru the hospital to the birthing center, help her sister push a couple of times, and then cut the umbilical cord! (AND you can feel very sorry for anyone who got in Jessica's way as she was literally running down the hall, because I guarantee you, all of her public manners went right out the door!! She would have trampled someone!)
Incidentally, for those who care, I did the driving!! AND I was NOT paying much attention to speed limits!! (The WonderHusband opted to sit in the back seat with DR so that he couldn't be accused of scaring me!)
Well, I'm going to go shower, and grab a few MORE items for Liz and Chris (she loaded TWO bags to take to the hospital, but she still managed to forget stuff!) and then go love on my newest grandson.

YEAH! Thanks for the update, Theresa! How awesome.. congrats to you and everyone! What an exciting time in your life! Take care and enjoy these wonderful first days with that new baby boy!
