1. Today I dealt with a customer who thought that if they got checks with someone else's number on them it would be a great way to get the money that the account owner owed them. (They were escorted to the manager to deal with.)
2. I think I'm almost caught up with reading all of my regular blogs now that our computer seems to be working normally. (Maybe I'll start commenting next.)
3. My house is a wreck, the sink is full of dirty dishes, and I REALLY don't want to do anything about any of it!
4. The next 8 Wednesdays that I have off (every other week), my mother is scheduled to go to the dentist. Eight trips to the dentist!!! I'm so NOT happy about the scheduling!
5. Jonathan and Abby told their mom that they wanted to spend the night with me, and she could just bring them clean clothes for school when she picked them up. (Unfortunately, I had to work, so their plan didn't work out this time...but maybe soon.)
6. Eva (7.5 months old) is pulling herself up to a standing position on everything (and everybody) that doesn't move. (And occasionally, a few things that do.) That child is going to be walking before she ever gets a tooth in!
7. I have had the best time listening to Mrs. Lemon rant about Zesty's penchant for digging through the trash. I keep telling her that he has all the adventurous spirit of his Aunt Jessica, and all of the stubborness of his Momma! (I could tell some great stories about the two of them!)
8. Some good friends from church and I have started a book club. We have had two meetings so far, and I think it's going to fly. This month we are reading "Nineteen Minutes" by Jodi Picoult. I'm really enjoying her writing style, so far, but then I'm only 1/3 of the way through.
9. My dog, Sparky, hates to have his nails cut. He yanks his feet around and nips at me. But I can't stand hearing the "clickety, click, click" on our wood floors. Drives me absolutely batty!
10. I appreciate good sarcasm. I've spent about an hour reading through the posts on Stuff Apostolics Like and have laughed and groaned. Having been raised in Apostolic churches, there are SO MANY things that we need to be able to step back and laugh at ourselves about. (I do recall Solomon saying something about "laughter doing good like a medicine"!)
11. I had to laugh at the girls in my office. For the Halloween costume contest, they have decided to wear the worst of the 80's. I could have sworn that most of that stuff was high fashion this fall! (I'm taking the day off. Can't stand the chaos of trying to do banking with people in costumes.)
12. I believe Fall is absolutely my favorite time of the year. I love the colors. I love the smell. I love the cool nights and warm days. However, I'm not looking forward to the ending of Fall.

I love fall, too! It is the season that follows it that I could do without!
I hear the 80's fashions are coming back. That really is too bad. Some things should die a natural death, shouldn't they?!
Thanks for playing along!!!

I have a theory about the '80s fashion and the people dragging them out of the grave.
Unless they had strict parents, they never learned delayed gratification, and now that they are in their late 20's early 30's and real life has kicked them in the rear, they want to go back to the '80s and pretend everything they ever wanted is paid for by their parents :)
That is my theory. However, I had strict parents, so I have no desire for shiny pleather and leggings.
Loved your random musings!! And that does stink that your mom has appts. on your next 8 Wed. off! Yuck! Sheesh!
I love this time of year, too! The weather was perfect last week, though this week has been humid and sticky but it will change back soon!
I'm glad you are back online!! ((HUGS))
Is it too late to join the book club? I read Nineteen Minutes about a year ago and got hooked on Jodi Picoult. Plus, I just love to read anyway.
Oh no, I totally forgot about book club. =( Perhaps now that I'm 2 less babysittees (thankyouJesus!), I will have time. I, along with Becky (thank you Becky for getting me started!) loooooove Jodi Picoult. Haven't read 19 Minutes yet but it's on my list!
Abby and Jonathan seem to have forgotten about spending the night, but they have not forgotten about ice cream from McDonald's....for being good at the fair. =) They asked me the other day to ask you about it but, big surprise, I forgot. (I think I'd forget my head were it not attached! LOL)
