* My mother was a little overwhelmed with the basket full of cards this morning. She was very happy though, and had planned to spend a lot of time opening them and reading.
* I have found two new (to me) blogs that I am absolutely enjoying! Check these out when you get a chance: Aurora Blythe and New Dress A Day
* I'm starting to get a little frustrated with a certain young management person and her climb to the top attitude. I hate to tell her that stepping on people on the way up usually means you slide in some pretty ugly stuff.
* I love the fact that when David Riley decides he wants something, he'll ask if there's anything he can do around our house to earn money. As of today he checked off enough chores (some of them hot sweaty outdoor chores) so that he could go buy some more fish for his fish tank.
* I appreciate that Sir Nottaguy-Imadad's company has enough work that they feel the need to give overtime. I do not appreciate the fact that it's mandatory. I want a Saturday with my hubby!
* Eva has discovered baby dolls. Specifically one. That she MUST have with her at all times. It must sit on her high chair tray. It MUST be in bed with her. It must be in the same room in which she is playing. It must be in her car seat.
* School starts next Tuesday in our neck of the woods. David Riley, Abby and Jonathan are excited, apprehensive, and bummed--all at the same time. They want to see their school friends. They are concerned about their new teachers. AND THEY DON'T WANT SUMMER TO END!!!!
* Hunter will be going to a new pre-school this year. He will be in the same class with one of the other children from our church. A little excitement about that!!!
* Shanna has been put to the rack. At least that's what you would think if you could see how long she has gotten! At her 2 mo. (I think) appointment she was 24" long. I'd guess she's added another inch at least.
* The longer I work outside the home, the more I wish I could be a stay-at-home wife and grandmother. I would sooooo love to be able to help teach/homeschool/care for my grandkids. And I would love to have more time to sew and create in my sewing room.

I would love for you to teach my child. She weighed in at 14 lbs and 5 oz this morning.

Hi! Planning to spend a bit getting caught up with you. Thanks for stopping by and your nice comment... I know it's been a while. Sending positive thoughts your way that someday soon you get to be the stay at home wife and grandmother you yearn to be!
I didn't know you had a blog! I loved reading over your posts. So glad that your mom enjoyed your card shower. I thought that was such a wonderful idea. The kids in my class really had fun making cards.
