Sorry 'Bout the Silence!

I really hadn't planned on this being a silent blog for the past couple of weeks, but life kinda ramped up and I can't seem to get caught up!

Successes:

1.  My Mom has a hearing aid that really works & glasses that she can really see out of!  The VA was spectacularly successful this time around.

2.  I did get Christmas cards out in the mail before December 21st.

3.  Spent some one on one time with my hubby.

4.  I was finally approved to receive physical therapy.  That starts next Wednesday.

Spectacular Failures:

1.  All of the pajamas I had planned to make for the grand kids are still not even cut out.

2.  Another gift that the hubby and I were working on jointly is still sitting unfinished on my cutting table, because I just got overwhelmed with everything and froze.

3.  The pies I had planned to bake are still not done.

Life Realities:

1.  My Step-Mom is in an ICU step-down unit in West Virginia after suffering multiple strokes over the past couple of weeks.  The future is still uncertain.  I'm praying for God's Will to be done, not mine or anyone else's.

2.  My father-in-law is falling more and more frequently and has us all concerned.

3.  The man who had been the live-in caregiver for my in-laws has moved out without any warning.

4. My Step-Mom's sister is being less than cooperative about getting information to me.  Due to HIPPA, I cannot just call the hospital and get updates.

5.  The majority of the kids and grand kids will be here tonight for our family Christmas celebration.

6.  I have lots of cooking to get done and not a lot of time.

Well, that about sums everything up for right now.  Hope all of you had a great Christmas and that your New Year celebrations are safe and fun!

The holiday season kind of crept up on us, then POUNCED. Whatever we didn't get done, will eventually get done for another time, or will be forgotten. Nevertheless we had a good time.
