Junior Bible Quizzing is AWESOME!!!!!

Yesterday was absolutely the best day of Junior Bible Quizzing I have ever witnessed in Ohio!!! We had 18 teams of Quizzers (multiply that by 4 and you will have the average number of kids)! This is the most teams a year has ever started with!
The Zanesville 1 team came in 1st place, undefeated!!! Pataskala (a brand new church), took 2nd place, Mount Vernon 1 (my Sunday School girls) came in 3rd, and Toledo 1 placed 4th!!!!! These kids did an amazing job quoting verses and answering questions all day!!! (The Mount Vernon 2 team placed 8th out of 18 teams, not bad at all considering they only had one quizzer who had any experience!!!)
I was in awe of the wonderful attitudes of the kids yesterday. I only witnessed two cases of tears the whole day! (Considering these kids are between 5 and 12, that is amazing!) Most of the kids were doing their best to encourage each other, and to make new friends.
I've started something with our Quizzers. Every tournament, they have to find/make a new friend, then bring the friend to me so that I can take their picture. They have to have someone new every tournament!!! At the end of the Quizzing Season, I told them they can have the pictures for their memory books. They think that is a fun idea!
Well, I've got to go. I've got stuff to do before we head to church for Ensemble Practice. Have a lovely weekend!!!
