I seem to be having trouble finding time to blog and "stuff" that is bloggable.
I am excited about OSU being 3 and 0 so far this year!! It really wouldn't hurt my feelings if they manage to have an undefeated season!!! GO BUCKS!!!
Last night, Riley decided to give the family a reason for intercessory prayer. He was running up the steps (at his house) and fell at the top. Jessica called me as they were en route to the ER for stitches. (He's definitely following in his mama's steps!) However, he just about went into shock when they started talking about needles and sewing his head, so the very wise nurse-practitioner decided that Dermabond was going to do the trick. He's going to have a very lovely colored left eye in a couple of days, and will be dealing with a headache (or as he describes it "rats running in his head") for a few days. The page of "firsts" in a kid's memory book doesn't have a spot for ER visits. ;)
My "adopted" son, Daniel, had some fun company on Saturday! His parents (the real set) have been foster parents for many foreign exchange students through the years. One of his "foster" sisters, Sonya, from Germany, came to visit his parents last week. She brought her boyfriend, Rolf, with her. (We got to meet Sonya before Daniel and Carolyn were married in 2000, because Sonya came to spend some time with Daniel so that she could experience Ohio. While Daniel was at work, Sonya would spend time with us.) She's such a fun person to be around, and it was so good of Daniel's parents to share her with us for a couple of hours this weekend! Unfortunately, I forgot my camera and therefore I do not have pictures.
I am getting excited about UPCI General Conference. It starts next Wednesday in Columbus with the PMA (Pentecostal Music Association) Celebration. I looooovvvvve this service. The singing is always awesome and it's one of the best live concerts to attend!! I am on vacation next week just specifically so that I can attend all of the Conference that I want.
Well, I guess I'd better go get some more sewing done. Ross needs a pair of suit pants altered so that he can wear them next week. I'd kind of like a couple of new skirts to wear, but we'll see if I have time to do those. I may just do some revamping to a couple of old ones.
Have a wonderful day! I will try to be a little more faithful to my blog.

Everything is bloggable.
Poor Riley. At least he didn't bite through his tongue.
Oh myyyyy....Riley's eye looks yucky!!!! He looked SOOO sad tonight in church! He slept during church...which is not like Riley at ALL!! He looked very dazed and sedated!!! AND THAT is SOOO NOT LIKE HIM!!!! Even my husband which does not notice ANYTHING>>>>noticed that he looked a little pale!
Hope he does well...
Jana
Believe it or not, he really was not sedated. (The strongest thing he has had has been Tylenol.) He was really tired, and I think the "rats running in his head" are wearing him out.
We went through this multiple times with Jessica when she was little, so I know Riley will be just fine. As in most things, the first time is the toughest!
