UPDATE: Well, the bank office missed the joy of David Riley yesterday. Before it was time for me to leave for work, my manager called and strongly suggested that I make yesterday an unplanned vacation day. It seems that by 10 a.m. they had taken care of a whopping 8 real live customers, and she really didn't think that more tellers in the lobby was going to make much of a difference to the customer count. Then about an hour later, she called to tell me that they were closing the branch at 5 p.m.
So, DR and I spent the day playing with toys, shoveling the sidewalk (which then received 1" of ice), grocery shopping, and watching School House Rock. I'm still relatively sane.
No, I haven't dropped off the face of the earth! And, I haven't taken a winter break, although that seems to be the rage right now. And, there haven't been any new medical crisis in the family. I've just been lurking on all of your blogs.
Parent update:
FIL is in a very nice nursing center for rehab and is doing very well. At last count he had lost over 60 lbs. in fluid since his heart surgery. (I wish someone could invent a way for me to lose 60 lbs. in 2 weeks and the doctor be okay with it!)
Mom is fine now, although she still believes that I am the meanest, most unloving child in the world.
Today is going to be an INTERESTING day!! We have about 2" of snow on the ground already, and the forecast is for another 4"-8" plus freezing rain. Schools are closed. Jessica is in STNA training today from 8:30-3. I have to work 11 am-7 pm. AND Jessica's babysitter is in the hospital. So, my office is going to be blessed with the presence of my grandson until Jessica gets out of class today.
The WonderHusband pulled videos and DVDs out for me to take to keep him "occupied" and I'm going to find a couple of the big books that he's never read yet, and a few toys.
However, the majority of the bag that I take with him will be filled with snacks. David Riley is 6 yrs. old, and eats like a teenager already!! He grazes CONSTANTLY!! He never eats enough to make himself sick, but he can't stand for his belly to "grumble" at him.
Pray for my sanity today! I'll post tonight to let you know how it goes. (Of course, that's providing I haven't turned into a blubbering idiot!)

Grumbly bellies are terrible things.
I know a babysitter who just so happens to be available...The baby I watch is only here on Wed. Thurs. and Friday's. Too bad, would have given Abby something to do. She's "bored Mom!"
There you are!! And I agree with Liz! :)
Are you still being mean to your mom?? JUST KIDDING, REALLY, I AM JUST KIDDING! ;)
Oh, and not to change the subject, but exactly which Arbonne product do you use? (remember the HRT discussion?) I wanted to email you, but couldn't find an address...thanks so much....
