What! A! Day!
I had discussed with the WonderHusband some things that I wanted to get accomplished today, since we BOTH had the day off, AND nothing else had been scheduled. The list wasn't really extensive, but it was labor intense. Here's what we got accomplished:
1. Breakfast out--just the two of us!
2. Went to Lowe's and bought: landscaping stones, two large pots of Hens and Chicks, downspouting and gutter, and treated lumber.
3. Priced dryers and gas grills at Lowe's and Sears. (Previously priced them at WalMart.)
4. Went to the greenhouse and bought birdseed and a flat of strawberry plants.
5. Came home, unloaded the truck.
6. WonderHusband placed stones around the tree and then I started cleaning the bed out to plant the Hens and Chicks.
7. WonderHusband hung gutter and downspouting on the side of the porch where the handicap ramp is (and where the waterfall usually is during any rain).
8. Jessica and David Riley came over to help plant and prune. (Jessica planted the entire flat of strawberry plants in containers so her Grandma can "garden" this summer.)
9. WonderHubby and I returned the treated lumber and a couple of brackets to Lowe's and bought a dryer and gas grill. (Well, actually, Mom bought the grill, we just brought it home.)
10. We called Daniel and begged his help getting the dryer into the basement. (I almost dropped the grill getting it off the truck. Decided I didn't want to risk doing that to the dryer.)
So, now I have a BRAND! NEW! dryer in my basement!! I have NEVER had a brand new dryer before! It is soooooo quiet! And it has soooo many neat settings! I'm soooo excited!!!
AND I have a BRAND NEW GAS GRILL!!! I haven't had a gas grill in about 15 years, and I've never owned a brand new one! I can't wait to break out the marinades! Chicken! Steaks! Burgers! Hot dogs!! Corn! Potatoes! Kabobs! YUMMMMMMYYYYY!!!!!
Hope all of you have had a great Saturday!!! Happy Mother's Day to all of my readers who are Moms!

Aren't new appliances, etc. wonderful?!! :) I don't know what it is about me, or possibly women/mommies in general, that makes me so excited to get something BRAND SPANKING NEW that just works soooooo nicely! lol I love my washer, it's kinda "special" b/c it was my Grandma's. And even though it's old it works like a dream. (Grandma didn't skimp on buying quality products!) But if/when it goes, me wanna LARGE CAPACITY WASHER!!!!!! 3 kids = LOTS of laundry, hehehe! :)
Congratulations on the new dryer and gas grill! You're making me so hungry talking about the delicious food! Happy Mother's Day! ((HUGS))
What I think is a crime, is that you put the gas grill together and it was not immidately put into use. It's grilling season! Do sumthin about it!
Thanks for all your comments, Folks!
LC, I didn't mean to make anyone feel bad! It's unusual for me to be pain-free enough to get all of this accomplished!
Jana, I don't think you'd make it from FL in time for lunch!
Liz, you make me smile!
Carolyn, hold out for the one you want!!
Jewel, you do live close enough, we might manage a "lunch" date! ;)
