This Nana LOVES spending time with her grandkids! Jessica was quite happy to let me have David Riley overnight Sunday. (Jessica is STILL waiting for labor to start, and she is quite miserable!)
DR and I slept in until 8 a.m., and then baked muffins for breakfast. (Three different kinds: blueberry, raspberry, and banana-nut-chocolate chip.) As I'm trying to do the dishes after breakfast, I hear "Nana, can we set the Hot Wheels up on the dining room table?" So, we played Hot Wheels on the dining room table for about 2 hours.
After lunch, we played Frustration, Snakes and Ladders, and Connect Four. Several times each!
Then we read together. Then we read separately. AND we talked! AND talked! AND TALKED! (No, he doesn't have a mute button!)
AND you know what?? I wouldn't have traded the day for anything!

What great memories! Grandmas are definately a gift from God! I miss mine! And, thank you for the get well wishes. I am hoping to sneak a nap in later today. And, I am OK if the TV does a little babysitting, if just for a day :0)
