What A Surprise!!!

Monday evening my Mom called Sir Nottaguy-Imadad and told him that her brother, Ronnie, was coming to visit her on Tuesday. We were a little skeptical because, the last we knew, Ronnie was at his home in Galway, Ireland. However, we decided to make a quick run to the nursing center and check her phone, just in case.


GOOD THING WE DID!!!

Not only was Ronnie coming, but he had his wife, Cathy, with him. And they were in Dayton visiting one of Ronnie's nieces. And they were coming to our part of Ohio sometime mid-afternoon.

I haven't seen Uncle Ronnie and Aunt Cathy for about 16 years. (Mrs. Lemon was about 12 and Jessica was about 10.) It was amazing, though, the way we just picked up and went with our conversations as if we had seen each other last month. There was no awkward "getting reacquainted" feeling. AND when Jessica and family arrived, David Riley took up residence next to Uncle Ronnie as if they had always known each other.




This is my Mom sitting between Aunt Cathy and Uncle Ronnie. What a precious memory to hang on to! The only thing that would have made the evening more perfect would have been for The Lemons and my brother, Paul, to have been able to be there. Uncle Ronnie said that their next visit they will try to coordinate more in advance so that they can see everyone.
