This week Sir Nottaguy-Imadad and I are on vacation. We are not actually planning on going anywhere special for the whole week, but it's so nice to just be off and do what we want to do, when we want to do it.
This morning we didn't even get out of bed until after 8 a.m. That next to never, ever happens. Oh, it felt so good! At some point today, we are going to go out to Red Lobster to celebrate our 25th anniversary. (Tomorrow is the actual day, BUT tomorrow looks like something out of a comedy strip!) We may spend some time wandering a mall. Sir may wind up finding some great buys (because he's like that) and I may wind up sitting on a bench reading while he "shops".
Tomorrow -- honest to goodness -- will start with Eva about 5:30 a.m. Then we have to pick my mother up about 7 a.m., to take her to Columbus to the VA clinic for 4 (yes, FOUR) appointments. This will involve pushing mom in her wheel chair and Eva in her stroller for several hours over a huge medical facility. Then once we deliver mom back to the nursing center, we have calling hours and a funeral tomorrow evening. (One of our dear friends lost his father unexpectedly yesterday morning.) Happy Anniversary to us!
Wednesday, we are heading south to see the Lemons for a few hours. This will be a great time. I want to snuggle the grandbabies for a little while. I want to blow on Pinky's cheeks and hear her giggle. I want to "wrestle" with Zesty and listen to him talk. There's nothing much sweeter than an almost 2 yr. old telling you about something! I want to see my daughter (and maybe my son-in-law who is working nights this week) and catch up with them.
Thursday, I think we will just stay home until time for church. (Except I will send Sir to pick up his paycheck.)
Friday, we have a book club meeting at our house in the evening, other than that the day is clear.
Saturday, I want to go to Amish country. I want to visit Lehman's General Store in Kidron and Zinck's Fabric Outlet in Berlin. I want to eat a wonderful lunch cooked by Amish or Mennonite ladies that KNOW HOW TO COOK! I want to see some different countryside. I want to enjoy going somewhere with just my husband.
Now that I look at the week again, I guess it looks a little crowded, but it's sounding more fun the more I think about it.
