Saturday, Sir Nottaguy-Imadad and I made a flying trip to see The Lemons in their new home.
Actually, as happy as I am about their new place, this Nana really went to see the grandbabies! I was desperately in need of some baby snuggling! Zesty and Pinky provided a good bit of snuggling, but they were very intent on showing me all the "big kid" stuff they've learned to do.
How in the world did Pinky get to be 10 months old already??? She crawls faster than a speeding bullet. She pulls up and stands beside anything she can get to stay still. She giggles like a two year old!
Zesty was very happy to show me all of his toys in their big new playroom. (Mama Lemon wasn't so pleased with the big mess of EVERYTHING being out in the middle of the floor!) He was, also, quite generous with his invitations to "go Houtside" with him. He LOVES, LOVES his big fenced in backyard with the big play set!
Splenda was being the typical almost-teenager, and spent most of her time in her brand new room arranging and rearranging things to her heart's content. She did emerge a couple of times and was quite animated when talking about her new school and her new teachers. She really, REALLY loves school. AND she's got the best math teacher in the whole world! AND everybody is really nice. AND she loves living with The Lemons full-time now!
Mr. and Mrs. Lemon were happily telling us about all of the plans for decorating and upkeeping their new home. Mr. Lemon was lamenting his lack of proper tools for all of the jobs that he sees needing done. (I'm thinking much of his Christmas may involve Lowe's!) Mrs. Lemon is talking about all of the painting she wants to get done, but she occasionally slides into where different Christmas decorations are going to go. (She's a bit of a Christmas-aholic in case you didn't know.)
It was a good Saturday, even with the long time in the car. (6 hours total driving time!) We are really very happy for them and totally understand the planning and discussing!
So, what was your Saturday like?
