Eating Out With David Riley

Eating out at restaurants with grandchildren is ALWAYS an interesting experience. Sometimes it is a bit hair-raising. But with David Riley, it's almost always hysterically funny!

Tonight we took DR and Eva to one of our favorite Mennonite restaurants. We love the food. We love the service. We love the family-friendly atmosphere. And we love the prices. (I love not having to cook or do dishes!)

DR was definitely on a roll tonight with funnys.

We re-introduced him to Amish Peanut Butter Spread. (Peanut butter and honey whipped together into a WONDERFUL combination of goodness!)

His first quote was "What genius thought this up?"

Next quote (with a mouthful of bread lavished with the spread) "Oh, my, this is heaven in a squeeze bottle!"

After we were finished eating, and were trying to get the bill settled. He asked, "Why do they give you a receipt for the food you just ate at a restaurant? It's not like you're going to return it or something!"

Laughter doeth good like a medicine, according to Proverbs, BUT belly laughing when you have a full belly is not so much fun!

I don't know how old this little guy is, but he's smart as a whip. Wonder where he gets that from...? ;-)
