What A Week!

This has been one of the most unbelievable weeks!

It started out with Daniel's (one of my "sons") dad having major surgery. And having some very scary complications from it. He's spent several days in ICU and kept us all in prayer!

Then we had a small scary incident with David Riley. All's well that ends well, but it had us all in a tizzy for several hours.

Wednesday I had to make an emergency run with Mom to the dentist. She had broken a tooth and it had gotten infected. Her dentist had a cancellation and was able to fit her in. Now we are looking at several extractions, because the cause of the break and infection is a 50+ year old bridge that had been cemented in. Thankfully, Jessica was able to go with me, because there are about 8 steps up to the dentist's office. I would never have been able to get Mom up there by myself!

Also, Wednesday we had another cell group meeting. It was wonderful! We had some new folks come and they just fit themselves right in and made themselves at home. However, at the end of the evening Sir Nottaguy-Imadad wasn't feeling very well. Turns out he had some kind of nasty stomach bug. Today (Friday) he's finally starting to feel better.

Third thing from Wednesday, we received news that a very precious elderly saint of God passed very unexpectedly. It's pretty much shaken me. I'm going to miss her quiet faithful presence! She never sought the lime light, was content to be the saint who just quietly prayed and kept an eye out for someone to encourage. I can't count the number of times she would give me a hug and pray for me. OR just pat my arm and tell me that I was doing a wonderful job. I loved having her come in to see me at the bank. Her smile could light up a dark room! But I know I will see her again.

Since Wednesday, the week has kind of leveled out, but I'm just TIRED!!! Today, Mrs. Lemon sent me a picture of some curtains she put up in Zesty's room out of desperation. She needed it to be dim enough that he would take a nap. All I kept thinking was that I promise to go to bed and take a L-O-N-G nap if someone would just let me!

I think I'm going to get the dishes done and sit down and read. Or maybe sit down and nap until bedtime.
