Project #3 originally was a little larger and had a button to fasten the hat. Eva was not liking the way the hat kept moving around on her head, so back to the drawing board. The new version is a little smaller and ties under her chin. She's much happier! Jessica put the larger hat in storage for a future time.
Project #4 was making a slip cover for my poor old ragged couch that I refuse to get rid of! This couch was purchased by my Dad sometime in the mid-1960's. It's very heavy. Very well made. AND has been moved WAY TOO many times! After my Dad passed away, I asked my step-mom if I could have the couch. She was quite happy to have us come haul it away. The picture doesn't do the fabric justice. It is a navy and cream check with dark green and tan checks woven in. I've had the material in my fabric stash for about 10 years. So, the nice thing about this project was it just cost me some time and the cost of a new spool of thread. (I ran out of navy thread about half-way through.) I'm pretty sure the fabric came in a box of mixed items that my Dad bought at one of the many auctions we all attended.
I have a solid line on a pair of dark green wing-back chairs to pair with the couch once Mrs. Lemon is able to get the furniture she's been drooling over.
So, what have you been up to?

The hat and the slipcover are both very cute!
I have a couch I'd *like* to slipcover, but with a herd of busy small children I'm pretty sure any slipcover will end up a crumpled mess crammed into the space between the cushions, LOL!
Thanks for encouraging me on my blog! <3 It was a pleasant surprise to find out anyone was still reading :)
I have fallen off the blog-reading wagon myself. So much to try to keep up with ... bleh.
But it is very good to see you again!
And now this comment is MUCH too long.
