I feel like I have been slogging through a mud pit for the last several days! There have been a few bright spots, but my "glasses" have suffered from the "mud" so I've had to really work hard to see the light.
One of the effects of the mud pit, has been some serious re-evaluating of our budget, and my job satisfaction level (right now about a 2 out of 10). We'll see what time and prayer reveal about the next few steps.
On the lighter side:
Last Saturday was a Jr. Bible Quiz Tournament in Zanesville. We had such a good time! There were 2 teams from a church in Morgantown, WV, that came up to join us. I do so appreciate the friendship and fellowship of the folks that are involved in quizzing.
Sunday was an interesting day with my mother. She was having some incredibly delusional moments. At times it was kind of funny, other times it was sad. The best was when she invited our son "Daniel" to share her room with her! She promised him that it would be very quiet! Daniel was good about it and just let her know that he really liked his own room with his wife. We all tried very hard not to laugh out loud in front of her. I had to fake a coughing fit to cover myself.
Monday evening, David Riley and Eva were at our house. Eva kept following DR around and tried to do everything he was doing. DR got so frustrated that he said, "Nana, there are times I wish I weren't so much older than Eva! Things that are okay for a 9 yr. old boy to do, are not necessarily okay for a 2 yr. old girl!" Once again, I found myself struggling to keep a straight face as I explained that he needed to control his 9 yr. old self when his sister was around.
So, tell me about some of your lighter moments this week.

A lighter moment - Gracie has decided that she doesn't like my decision to bathe them separately from now on , and manages to get in the tub with Zachary, whether it's her turn or not, and whether or not she's -ahem- nakey. That means clothes and diaper and hair in pigtails and everything. You ever try to take pigtails out of fine soaking wet hair? it's about as easy as putting pony tails in a wet cat's hair.
