The Week Grew Wings

This week has absolutely flown by!

I promise it was Monday just yesterday!

I taught 4 very rowdy little girls twice this week. We taught our small group Bible Study on Wednesday night.  I've had children at my house all 5 days for at least 4 hours, some for 16.  (My house looks like the whole herd moved in, but I'm sure that hasn't happened.)

Now, I have just a few hours to get the house straightened up, somewhat cleaned (as much as can be done with a 2 yr old and 3 yr old running & playing in it), food cooked, and still be partially sane for the invasion of the Lemon Clan.

This weekend is the Homecoming Celebration at our church.  It starts out at noon Saturday with some of our folks having a skeet shoot at the youth pastor's house.  Then it moves to the church campus at 3 p.m. for a hog roast/potluck dinner and hayride.  Sunday morning and evening there will be much singing, worshipping, and ministering going on with Ken and Julie Cook, Mr. & Mrs. Lemon, and the Sanctuary Choir and Chorale.

The main dish for tonight's supper is in the crockpot. (Thank you, Jesus, for inspiring someone to invent the crockpot!) David Riley requested that I make double the number of biscuits that I think I will need, so he can eat his fill. **snort** (The boy NEVER gets too full to eat another biscuit!)   I know that I'm putting a couple of breakfast casseroles together tonight to make tomorrow morning a little more sane.  I think one will be French Toast casserole, the other one I'm thinking will be Ham, Egg, & Potato casserole.  (Providing I didn't forget to buy any of the ingredients!)  I haven't a clue what I'm making for the potluck.  All I know is it better be something big and crockpot-table. (I made up a new word!)

I'm hoping to get a little snuggle time in with the Lemon Blossoms, but since they are 4 yrs, 2 1/2 yrs, and 6 months, I may have to chase a few of them down just to get a hug and kiss.

The nieces (Alexis & Layla) are really looking forward to seeing the Lemons.  Layla doesn't remember any of them because she was only a baby the last time Liz was around her.  Alexis thinks she remembers Liz, but she's been spending a lot of time looking at the pictures on my wall so that she will recognize them.

Well, I've spent enough time on here.  Time to get dressed & get some work done.  Hope you all have a great weekend!

By this time, I hope that it's all a warm memory. =D What a busy weekend, though it certainly sounds as if it would be fun.
