Well, this week has probably been one of the most productive vacation weeks I've had in a while! I love taking the last week of the year off!!!! (Of course, my co-workers at the bank groan and complain about it, but, hey, when they've worked for the same place 15 years and have earned the right to take special weeks, I'm sure they will, too!)
So far this week, I've gotten all of the Christmas decorations stored away for another year; balanced both of my checkbooks and my mother's; made two skirts for my daughter, Jessica, for her work uniform; and cut out two skirts for myself. (I'll get the skirts put together after I get off of the computer, so then I'll have new skirts to wear to work next week.) I've, also, read three small books and finished my BREAD chart for the year!!!! Now, that's a productive week!!!!
I thought about following Wendy's (my daughter's friend from college) example and try to do some scrapbooking, but I really need my husband to help me with that. (He's much more artistic than I am.) I'm hoping to get back to work on the afghan that I have been crocheting for Liz and Dustin since they got married (6 years ago).
I am the Queen of Unfinished Projects! Just ask me, I'll tell you all about them. There are 5 quilts started, 1 croheted afghan, 1 knitted dishcloth, and several costumes for the Easter Drama that our church was going to do two years ago, that was cancelled. I, also, have enough material and panels to make at least 3 Christmas lap robes. I, also, am in the midst of designing the wedding dress for my "adopted" son John's fiance, Mistie. This at least has a deadline. I'm much better at finishing projects that have deadlines! (Liz's and Jessica's bridesmaids dresses were done by midnight before each of their weddings. That's meeting the deadline, isn't it??)
Well, I'm going to go finish my skirts! Have a lovely day everyone!

You definitely should try scrapbooking - it's a very fun hobby without any real structure - you just do what makes you happy!! That's why I love it - I still love quilting and knitting - to me they are my structured hobbies! :) Glad you had a productive week - feels good, doesn't it??
Have a very Happy New Year!
I've tried scrapbooking, but I get bogged down very quickly! I am very artistic when it comes to a quilt, but unless I want my scrapbook to only look like a book of quilts, I need the help of my wonderful husband, Ross. He's definitely the more artistic!!! He's better at thinking "outside the box"!
