I just love the way 4 year-olds phrase things!!!! On Thursday, I was busy baking Snickerdoodle cookies for a cookie exchange. My grandson, David, wanted to know if he could help me make the snickernoodles. I told him to go play with a toy, he decided to get out a box of Lincoln Logs that my husband has. After Ross got home from work, I heard David saying, "Papaw, come play with the likker logs with me!" (You've got to admit, it's cute!)
Sunday morning as the kids were getting into their costumes for their Christmas program at church, David came running to me crying that Abby (my 4 yr. old granddaughter) had hurt his feelings. She told him that he couldn't be David anymore, that she had given his name away to her brother, Jonathan. (Jonathan's middle name is David!) Try to explain sharing a name to a 4 year old -- it is nigh impossible!!!! Their name is their name and they ain't sharin'!!!
Oh, well, life as a grandma definitely has its interesting moments!!!
