Oh! My! Word!

One of my young customers was in today, very unhappily withdrawing money from her savings account (this is supposed to be for her car) under her mother's insistence. Why you ask???

Last night this young thing went to an "End of School" party. She has beautiful blonde hair, nearly a platinum blonde. Two of her buddies talked her into letting them dye it "Raven Black". The result???? Navy blue with crayola green overtones!!!

Her mother told her that she had to pay to have it professionally stripped. The beautician told her that it was going to take at least three applications.

My guess?? The girl is going to be working a little harder to get her car, and maybe not giving in to peer pressure quite so easily.

So glad that I am not given to yielding to peer pressure!!!

Good for that mom, is all I can say. Why can't we be happy with ourselves just the way we are? My mom had the most beautiful blonde hair but died it an ugly dark brown for years adn colored her eyebrows to match until we kids finally talked her into going natural again. She looked soooo much better. I think the Lord knows what He is doing,hm? *smile*
Oh, and I hope this poor girl has some hair left to be blonde after all the treatments!
