Be It Hereby Known...

1. Cursing and screaming at your teller does NOT improve your service.

2. Parent, if your child climbs over the desk and gets behind the teller line, a bank employee will escort your child to you. (No, you may not retrieve your child yourself. If you had been keeping an eye on him/her there wouldn't be an issue!)

3. The U.S. Mint determines when new coins are released, the bank has no control over this. We, also, have no input as to the color of the bills.

4. Ma'am, I'm very sorry, however if checks are written to you, and you do not have an account, there will be a fee assessed to cash said checks. (It doesn't matter if your husband, father, mother, son, and grandson have accounts with us, if your name does not appear on the account, YOU do not have an account!)

5. Sir, if you persist in using foul language after I have asked you not to, I WILL close my teller window in your face and call my manager to deal with you.

6. Co-worker, if you must eat your breakfast at work, please do not bring it to my window while I am trying to work. I really hate having egg dripped on my counter!!

7. Sir, if you see someone locking the doors, that means we are closed--pounding on the doors, screaming, and threatening to take your account elsewhere is not going to convince us to reopen for you.

Wow....and I thought your job was low-stress? There isn't a full moon out right now is there? I think you need a nice, relaxing vacation, Theresa. You certainly are deserving of one! ((HUGS))

Ummm, yes, Liz, I did. :(

Jewel, you are right, I DO need a vacation. However, with one teller out on maternity leave, two other tellers leaving, and classes starting for the college kids, getting time off is a little tight. Hopefully, within the next couple of weeks, things will start to improve! ;) ((HUGS))

Oh... how this brought back memories. I was a teller for a little while but HATED it! I then asked to move to accounting where I stayed for a long time. The last job I had (at a bank) was at 5/3 Bank, downtown Cincinnati in the Trust Accounting Dept. I also did the branch books in Hawaii at the Keeaumoku Branch. Not that you would want to know... but hey! Just felt like sharing! LOL! Hope your next day at work goes better!!

Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha! I'm so feeling the man's pain. He was probably going to overdraft. HOWEVER, that isn't your problem! I have the sense to recognize that.

Rochelle, I actually like being a teller! I did back-room work (balancing general ledgers, etc.) for more than 10 years, and moved to teller to de-stress!

Jamie, it wouldn't have mattered--our bank doesn't process on weekends, so his deposit wouldn't have posted until tonight anyway. I think he just didn't want to wait in the ATM line! ;)
