O.K.A.Y!!!

I had a college student (from a college that is peopled by the well-to-do) come in to cash a check today. The check was for $230.00. He asked for two $100's and a $30. When I kindly explained that there are no $30 bills, he looked at me with a serious look and said, "Really???"

Yes, sir! That's higher education for you!

oh Mom. I hope you laughed in his face. I do.

And you recall that I spent your $30 bill - can I just wait and bring your stuff when I come at the end of the month?

No, Liz, I did not laugh in his face--behind his back, absolutely!

The end of the month is fine. I'm not as impatient as some people in my family! ;)

Okay, I'm still laughing! The truth is - this is really sad.

On another note, congrats on the Nice Matters award. No doubt, you deserved that!

Have a great rest of the week,
Deb

Daniel, yes it was one of those two colleges!

Deb, thank you for the compliment! You're right tho' it is sad that any college-age person would not know what denominations bills were produced in. (I've also had people ask for $3 bills!)
