Tonight, Becky, made her debut as part of our Praise Team at church. She did a wonderful job, even though she's at the tail end of a sinus infection (YUCK!) and had a few coughing spells. It was really kind of fun to get to sing on the same team with her because I've known her since she was born.
The one thing that was kind of difficult for me tonight was trying to sing without bawling like a baby! When Becky sings soprano, she sounds JUST like her Grandma Ryan, who was a very dear friend (and I still miss her very much). If Becky switched down to alto, she sounded just like her Aunt Julie, who is still a very dear friend, (who is married to an evangelist, so I don't get to see her near often enough)!
At any rate, I love seeing teenagers get involved in ministries, so I'm really writing this to let Becky know how very proud I am of her!!! Love you, Beck!!!

The coughing spells were definitely no fun. Next week I will probably do better. I didn't mean to be switching from alto to soprano. I was adjusting my voice so that my throat wouldn't get caught!
