Last night was David Riley's school Christmas program. Six year old boys are just a bundle of untamed energy in their best moments--and then there are those other moments!!
DR was all slicked up, in a black shirt with a silver print tie and khakis! He looked good, and he KNEW he looked good! (His mom sent a sweater vest for him to wear, but he flat refused because it made his "cool tie" disappear.)
That's the boy behind the mike stand.
During "Jingle Bells", the 1st graders were supposed to act like they were driving a team of horses on a sleigh. DR's horses must have been cross-bred to kangaroos with the amount of jumping he was doing!
Oh, and do you see the little girl to DR's right (your left)??? During the final all-school song, "We Wish You A Merry Christmas", she decided to try to lay her head on DR's shoulder---I've never seen such a look of horror on his face before!!! (Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera ready at the moment, so it will just have to stay etched on my memory.) His arms went up like he was going to push her backwards, then he took a GIANT STEP back and about knocked the little boy next to him over. Talk about "girls have cooties" reactions!!! It was certainly a classic moment!

I guess he doesn't remember kissing Abby for the picture, huh? :)
He says Abby is his cousin and it's okay to hug and kiss cousins! :)
I love that picture of Ab & DR! I keep on the entertainment system downstairs! But come to think of it...I haven't seen any hugging or kissin' cousins lately. :)
I loved this! Yes, I can tell by the way DR is standing that he KNOWS he looks good - and he does! What a handsome fella!
I already know that this is just the beginning of many girls WISHING to lay their heads on his shoulder ...
Wish I could have seen the program. I agree with you - I love watching children's programs, even if I don't know a one of them, I love it!
