Please, PRAY!!!

UPDATE: The 4 children that are with Dawn, have had their custody hearing moved to sometime in March. Please keep praying. Dawn says "Thanks to all of you! I felt your prayers Thursday morning when the youngest was picked up. I didn't think I could let him go without a scene, but with God's help I succeeded."

I would like to ask you all to pray for Dawn, our pastor's oldest daughter.

About 18 months ago she began foster parenting a group of 6 siblings. After a few months, the oldest girl was moved to a different foster home, but that still left Dawn with 5. (Dawn is single, and a full-time nurse at a hospital.) The youngest of these children was 3 months old when she got them.

Over the summer it began to look like Dawn may be able to adopt the two youngest and another young couple in our church was looking to adopt the other 3.

The court hearings to determine custody began this week. Yesterday, the youngest was given to his biological dad.

To say that Dawn is devastated is a great understatement!!! The other kids have not quite caught the idea that the court is splitting them up, but it is going to be a huge tragedy.

Custody for the rest of the group is still up in the air, but should be decided by the end of the week, or early next week.

Please pray for strength and peace for Dawn and for the other young couple that wanted to adopt these kids and give them permanent homes. Pray for protection for the kids, and that what they have learned over the past 18 months will keep them seeking God regardless of where they end up.
