A Little Shopping

One of the nice things about birthdays, is that sometimes you get really NICE gift cards! The Lemons and Jessica & Family gave me gift cards to JoAnn Fabrics. They really wanted to get me a dress form, but it wasn't exactly in their budget ranges.


Well, it just so happened that I had a 50% off coupon for one item at JoAnn's. It was good on the purchase of a dress form. With the gift cards and some money that some other friends gave me for my birthday, I was able to order the dress form that I wanted!


While Jessica and I were there today placing my order, we, also, found this wonderful book called "Making Children's Clothes"

It has some of the cutest, easiest clothes I've ever seen. And all of the patterns are included. Most of the pieces mix and match, so you can create outfits that they don't even have listed. The book says the patterns are for 0-5 years, but with some minor adjustments, they could be made for older kids, too.

I'm not normally a good person to go shopping with because I don't LIKE to shop, but put me in a fabric store or a book store, and I promise to find LOTS of things I like. **smile**
