I have a very hard time telling somebody "No!" if what they are asking me to do involves the use of my sewing machine.
(At this point, my family is laughing hysterically at the understatement!)
Last year, my pastor asked me to make about 40 prayer shawls (it became 60). As you can see by that link, I was, also, working on a dress for Mistie and a quilt for Abby and drooling over dresses to make for the little girls. There have been times I have been recruited to make last minute costumes for kids at church to wear for programs.
This time, however, I think I have outdone myself. A co-worker is redecorating her daughter's bedroom as a birthday surprise--this weekend. She needed a new bedcover for a sleigh style bed. She couldn't find what she wanted in a ready made.
Guess who's making it? Me.
Guess when I got the material? Wednesday morning.
Guess who's up early to make a bedcover to be delivered today?

Have a fun day! If you need me, I'll be in my sewing room.

it's because you're so good :)
and that's me with the computer. Someone wants something done on the computer? MEMEMEMEME
It's because you are so talented AND generous AND big-hearted!! All wonderful qualities!
I've been known to over-commit a time or two in my life. Egads!
But I've slowed down over the past several years, which is not necessarily a bad thing.
This afternoon, I'm baking a peach pie for Ed, as his birthday is tomorrow (Sunday) and I'm working on a memory album of him and little Jaylon, which I know he'll love! :-)
Hope you are having a good weekend, my friend! ((HUGS))
You totally rock the sewing machine, Sister! No doubt about it =)
