What A Week!

Wait a minute, it's only Wednesday???

Monday a rather large building in our little downtown burned. As a result, most of the downtown was closed including our bank's main office building. Therefore, a good majority of the customers that normally go to the downtown office came out to our office to do their banking--in addition to our regular customers. Wooooooo! What a busy, Busy, BUSY day!

After work, I stopped to pick up Eva, who decided to change her name (and attitude) to Monster! Honestly, in the space of 60 minutes she had been in time out 3 times, paddled once (for stomping her foot at me and saying "No!"), and stood in the corner twice. I was sooooo excited when Rob called and said he was almost home!!!!

Yesterday, the downtown office was closed for the morning as they cleaned the smoke and soot out of the ventilation system, so, once again we were quite busy at our office. We, also, had a staff meeting last night that was mandatory. I wasn't sure I was going to get to go, because Sir Nottaguy-Imadad made a trip to the ER yesterday morning because his left knee had a collision with the corner of a bin and he had been taken off work for the day.

Normally, if I have a staff meeting and we have the kids, Sir takes care of them. That wasn't going to happen last night. So, we compromised--I left David Riley with him and took Eva (Monster) with me. If nothing else, it guaranteed a short meeting! She was alternately the comedy relief and the loud noise interruption. I warned the managers, I either had to bring her or miss the meeting and they offered to write me up for missing.

Well, hopefully today will be a little calmer.
