It is most definitely Fall here in Central Ohio. The color has come and is going. Leaves are falling. Rain is finally showing up to wash the air clean.
And the Fall Cough resounds in the land.
I first noticed a few customers and co-workers coughing gently. Now it's everywhere! Including in my house. And the gentle cough has morphed into a body wracking hack that seems to never stop.
Jessica, Eva and I have been the worst, although, David Riley is quickly catching up.
What do you mean you've never heard of the Fall Cough??? It's usually started by the mold that accompanies the falling leaves. Then the rain comes and makes the mold blossom and grow. And then suddenly all of the humans that have any kind of an allergy are coughing as our lungs/bronchial systems try to get rid of the airborn mold spores.
I feel horrible. However, I must still go to work, because I'm not contagious despite what it sounds like. (Doctors are notoriously reluctant to write you off of work for allergies.)
As much as I hate winter weather, I really need a good week of freezing weather to kill this mold and allow me a little time to recover.

Sorry to hear about the cough, Theresa, but we had a frosty 23 degrees this morning, so hopefully you did, too, and at least some of those spores bit the dust...or should I say frost? :-)
It probably doesn't help that a large building, not too far from us, burned & smoldered for days.
