As I have stated before, I really HATE shopping. That really makes it hard for me to do Christmas shopping. Thank God, I married a shopper! All I'm really responsible for buying is his gift.
As of last night, we are down to only buying 3 gifts. And of those, only one still has to be decided on, the other two are just a matter of getting the item we decided on. (Of course, one is an e-bay auction, but that's another story.)
I still haven't given any thought to rearranging the living room in preparation for setting up a tree. I'm not sure there are going to be any outside decorations this year. Sir Nottaguy-Imadad and I are both feeling kind of "meeehhhh" about decorating.
We tried to work up some Christmasey spirit by watching all three of "The Santa Claus" movies. It just didn't do it. I think I'm going to start going through my other collection "Rudolph", "Frosty", etc.
Have you ever just had one of those years where you just couldn't get in the mood??? What do you do to try to spark the spirit???

Oh, yes, I have those years most years...:-) You see, I just don't understand all of the gift-giving one time a year and most of the time, no one really needs anything else because they have everything anyway.
I'm seriously not an old Scrooge either, Theresa. I love the parties and get-togethers and food and the decorations but I don't care for all of the crazy spending and buying that goes along with this most wonderful time of the year.
AND....can most people really afford it? Hello. It's just crazy.
We have to put up our decorations, too. They've made it to the front porch, so I'm making progress! :-)
