Great Authors

I'm sure I've mentioned a time or two hundred that I really love to read.  I have a Kindle that I love to carry with me and it has a most eclectic selection of books on it, mostly classics with some Zane Grey westerns and Grace Livingston Hill romances mixed in for light reading.  However, there are a few authors that I want the actual books.  I want to hold them in my hand, underline great passages, and share quotes with people from them.

I have just finished "Twelfth Prophecy" by Brock and Bodie Thoene.  They are some of the best authors I have ever read.  I love the depth of research that goes into their books.  I love the way they pull in Jewish traditions and history to help me understand the full depth of the stories from the New Testament.  Every time I have finished reading any of their books from the A.D. Chronicles series, I have gone back and read the story from my Bible with a whole new understanding.  I know that they are writing fiction, but it becomes a living fiction when mixed with the Living Word.

I, also, love Francine Rivers' series about the women in the lineage of Christ  "Lineage of Grace".  The stories of Rahab and Mary, especially, speak to me.

Dee Henderson's series "Uncommon Heroes" makes my patriotic heart want to stand up and cheer!

If you are looking for something to read, you are looking for a good thing.  I highly recommend anything written by any of these authors, because they will not just entertain you--they will spark your spirit.

I love all of the ones you mentioned! Those are some of my favorite authors. I love that they write about real, flawed people; I hate books that are so unrealistic that I can't even pretend their real people. Have you read Dee Henderson's O'Malley books? LOVE them!
