Here's the Bullet Version

  • Friday:  I took Sir Nottaguy-Imadad to the cell phone store to buy his new smart phone.  He's been a busy little boy playing with it since!
  • Saturday:  We left home at 7:45 a.m. to go to a quiz tournament, we got back home at 8:45 p.m.  It was a long, long, wonderful day!  I love Bible Quizzing.  I love being around people who think memorizing scripture is important.  I love the competitiveness of children.  I'm not so fond of the competitiveness of their parents/coaches.
  • Sunday:  I woke up with God talking to me about a change in the lesson I had been planning all week.  I knew I was going to have to go with what He gave me, but it hit so close to home, that it was a very emotional class.  (I really don't mind when God changes my lesson, but I do wish I learned about it before the day I'm supposed to teach it.)  We, also, took a newly divorced friend and her son out to eat for lunch.  Had a great time talking, and her son and David Riley had a wonderful time being boys together!  (Think spit wads, laughter and other silliness!)
  • Monday:  Sir had taken a vacation day, Eva spent Sunday night, that meant it was Eva and Papa play date!  We did manage to get some shopping done, and a  few items of house keeping, but mostly it was Eva until David Riley got off of school.  Then it was Nana and DR time.  (Read: homework, writing, and verse memorizing.)
  • In the mail yesterday, I received a package from Vee.  She made a beautiful magnet with a picture of a daisy.  She would never have known, but I love pictures of daisies because they remind me of a book that I read as a girl that had the running phrase "daisies never forget" through it.  Now as I look at the new magnet on my 'fridge, I will remember not only what is being held up by it, but my blog friend, Vee!
  • Last night, Mrs. Lemon, let me know that if my new grandson hasn't made his appearance before Thursday, that her doctor is going to induce.  Mrs. Lemon is still kind of hoping for a Leap Day baby. We'll see how cooperative this child is going to be.
  • Today is going to be a stay-at-home day mostly.  I have LOTS OF SEWING that really needs to get done.  It amazes me that buttons fall off of shirts so frequently and that jeans keep showing up in need of patches.  Not to mention the 1,001+ unfinished projects that are inhabiting my sewing room.  AND David Riley has been pestering me to teach him how to crochet and how to work with patterns when he sews. (He's doing great with making pillows!)  Once I get the basic housekeeping done, I'm going to stay in my sewing room until Sir comes home from work.

Well, that's it so far.  Hope you all have a beautiful, productive day.  I'm going to start by opening the blinds and letting the sunshine in!

If it's any consolation to Liz, my husband is a leap day baby and thinks it's overrated. (I, however, think it's pretty cool.)

I'll be wondering about the possibility of a Leap Year baby. How exciting!

I found the story of the daisies touching. No, I didn't know, but God did. What you don't know is that every time I must make a selection for a friend, I ask for His help. There are so many directions to go in and I want everyone to be happy! I do think a recipe on the fridge looks darling. Hope that you've found a good one!
