All day long, I've been thinking about the various worship choruses that we sing at church. There are some that just tend to stick with you; you can't just sing them, they are almost prayers. Here's the words to a couple of my favorites:
Change my heart, O God,
Make it ever true.
Change my heart, O God,
May I be like You.
You are the Potter,
I am the clay.
Mold me and make me,
This is what I pray.
Amazing! Amazing!
I can't believe what You've done for me!
Amazing! Amazing!
Your love amazes me.
See, you can't even read them without them sounding like prayers!! I love songs like these. I also love the old hymns, but sometimes a chorus is just the quick, easy melody that your heart needs to help you pray without ceasing.

I read an article some time ago not quite bashing worship choruses, but not exactly embracing them either. They wanted to know were all the "meatier" hymns of old had gone. Personally, I don't think that going from milk to meat applies to worship choruses, only the word and the preached word. I feel that the more you grow in the Lord, the easier it should be to get in the presence of God, not harder and *chewier* if that makes sense.
My theme song this year has been "Heart of Worship," because it's all about Him. Every move I make and every song I sing needs to point to Him.
