- Today my "son" John passed his test and received his black belt and Samurai sword!
- After an auto accident that nearly took his life and did take pieces of his right hand.
- After the surgeon and physical therapist told him that he would never be able to participate in martial arts again.
- Today I watched him break six boards at once with the hand that was damaged. Today I watched him attain a dream that medical science tried to take away, but God restored.
