And Momma Goes Back To Work...

Saturday, Jessica started back to work. (12 hour days + travel time)

Sir Nottaguy-Imadad and I had a Junior Bible Quizzing Tournament to officiate.

Robbie and David Riley were elected (by default) to stay home and take care of Eva for the day.

I didn't hear anything from the guys until about 4:oo p.m. We were just finishing the stats for the quiz and getting ready to hand out trophies, when my phone rang and it was my SIL's number. I answered and heard:

"Nana, can I come to your house RIGHT! NOW!??" (Accompanied by the screams of a very unhappy infant in the background.)

"David Riley, I'm not at home. It would be about 7:30, before I can get home."

"But, Nana! I! NEED! YOU! NOW!"

"Let me talk to your daddy."

And to the tune of the screams in the background, I told Robbie the same thing. He asked if I would just call before we get to town so that he could have David Riley ready to go. "He really needs some Nana and Gweag time!"

So once we fought our way to their house through the crazy Ohio snow/ice/sleet storm. We found Eva still screaming, Robbie looking harried, and David Riley already heading out the door with his bag.

When Jessica got home from work, Robbie handed Eva to her, and collapsed on the couch with "I'm tired!" Jessica asked how the day went. Robbie said, "I'M TIRED!" Okay, but how did the day go??? "VERY TIRING!" (and he pulled the blanket over his head and took a nap.)

Jessica said she almost did a victory dance just because NOW he knows that keeping two children content IS A FULL TIME JOB!!!

I am not laughing. not one bit. it is no fun to have a mostly grown child and a screaming newborn happy at the same time.

Poor Rob. Yay for Sica :)

I would have rather been Robbie with the kids than driving through that mess. David does love his "Nana & Gweag" time
