Another Week Gone

I'm sorry that I have been so bad about posting lately. It seems like I can find time to sit and read blogs and comment, but I just can't find time to really post on my own blog.

This week has had our family kind of on edge. Sunday night during church my MIL called. (She NEVER calls on Sunday nights!) She needed us to request prayer for two of her sisters who were not doing very well. And she needed us to pray for her husband.

My FIL's cousin, David, was hit and killed by a van while he was riding a bike to his favorite restaurant. My FIL was the closest living relative, so he had to push past the grief to make arrangements and deal with insurance, etc. It was a very trying time for him, and he hasn't been feeling well since. I think the stress is telling.

Back the to the aunts... Aunt Pat was in the hospital already because of some complications with emphysema. She fell trying to get in her bed after a trip to the restroom, and pulled the oxygen off. The doctor thought she was probably without oxygen for about 2 hours before one of the nurses found her. By that time she was unresponsive. They put her on life support, but the family decided to remove the life support on Tuesday night. She passed Weds. morning. Calling hours are this weekend and the funeral is Monday.

Aunt Shirley is still in ICU and we really don't know much of what is going on. We do know that it's not looking good. We are still praying.

My MIL has been running from work to hospitals to home to work. I talked with her Weds. evening for a while and asked her to please get some rest and take care of herself. We don't need her sick from exhaustion.

On a brighter note--tomorrow is Valentine's Day. I have to work, but tomorrow night the WonderHubby (aka Sir Nottaguy-Imadad) is taking me to the Sweetheart Banquet at our church. I'm looking forward to going out with him and having fun with other folks from the church. He's one of my very favoritist people to spend time with! (We are moving up on our 24th anniversary in a couple of weeks!)

Well, now I have to get off of here and go be responsible and pay bills and balance the check book. Have a lovely weekend!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I enjoyed myself at the banquet with you and that we won our round of "The Newlywed's Game".
