Ummmm...

Was today National Stupid Question Day?? Did I miss a memo or something?? These are some of the beauties that I fielded today at the bank:

1. If I take all of the money out of my CD, will it close?
(Answer: If you take all of the money out of any account it will close in 10 days.)

2. If I don't have any money in my account and I write a check, will there be any kind of fee?
(Answer: Yes, there is a fee. It's called an overdraft fee.)

3. If this is a bank, why don't you sell silver certificates?
(Answer: Silver certificates haven't been sold by banks for well over 40 years.)

4. Can I open a checking account for my 2 year old?
(Answer: Your 2 year old cannot sign his name to a signature card, so he cannot have a checking account.)

5. Do you keep bars of silver and gold in your money vault?
(Answer: No. The U.S. banks went off of the precious metals standard a LONG time ago.)
