The Ohio Apostolic Campgrounds looked like it was being over-run by midgets last night. I didn't make it down to the campgrounds last year at all, so it was kind of a walk down memory lane when I got there last night.
The buildings were in all the same positions and it looked like the same old place, but there was definitely something new happening. Each camper had a handkerchief. There were red, black, blue and green. During the beginning of service, it was revealed that these represented the team the child was on for the week. There is a Survivor theme going on. AND the kids had TOTALLY bought in to it!
The greatest thing we heard was that the week started with 38 campers who had never received the baptism of the Holy Ghost. As of yesterday afternoon, 27 had been filled. I was so excited to hear that Abby was one of them on Tuesday night!
Some of my favorite children's evangelists, Bruce and Jamie Borlic, from Indiana, were there to minister, and as usual, they approached the obvious from an amazing angle. Last night's message was all about peer pressure robbing us of our praise. They didn't limit it to the kids. The adults were treated to all the ways that we allow peer pressure to rob us.
During the altar service, I watched in amazement as David Riley just danced and jumped and worshipped until (as he told me) he had to stop because his asthma started acting up. "But I really wanted to keep worshipping, Nana!" He was still at the altar worshipping for 10 minutes after the Green Flag went up. (The Green Flag means that campers are allowed to leave the Tabernacle and go to the Dining Hall or Pavilion.)
Nothing does my spirit so much good as to see my grandchildren, not just being raised in Truth, but embracing it for themselves!

It was a great service and great so see folks who we hadn't seen in a while and also those we had seen the previous week, only in different surroundings.
