Can You Say, Hold Me?

This week, so far, has included lots of holding, comforting, and rocking. (Besides LOTS of picking up of toys.)

Shanna has decided that it was a great time to work on getting more teeth while Mom's not around to endure the crying and gnawing on everything (including the dog's collar, when Sparky isn't fast enough). When the gums start hurting, she needs cuddling as well as Baby Ora Gel!

At the same time, Eva has been battling with high fevers and just general crankiness. Meaning, "Hold me, please."

There have been several minutes this week that I have been sitting on the couch with a child on each leg. Both of them NOT! AT! ALL! happy to be sharing Nana!

I took Eva to her doctor yesterday, and she is now on a round of antibiotics because her tonsils were badly inflamed and she had one ear that was red and slightly infected. Hopefully, the real Eva will peak back out in a couple of days. (The real Eva only wants to be held when Papa is watching Veggie Tales with her.)

Today, it is just me and Shanna. She slept until 8:30. We've played and played, until she finally decided she wanted only to be held. Now, she's sound asleep for her nap and I'm going to rush around and get everything done so I can be free to play when she wakes up.

I figured putting an update on here was as important as doing the dishes. So, now that this is done, I'll go do the dishes, take a shower, make my bed, and all the other myriad of things that are screaming at me.

Hope you get some cuddles from whatever little cutie is in your life!

Also, do you realize you are not linked to me in your blogroll? for the shame. FOR THE SHAME.

Had I not just been there, I'd have said "sleep when the baby sleeps."

But knowing first-hand the shrill pitched screaming - I'm with ya on just GET THROUGH THIS and hold the baby.

:)

Also, Gracie threw a fit in the store today and got her first real leg swat in public. You'd have thought I murdered her. So many tears.

Good for you on the leg swat. I've lost track of how many of those I've dished out over the years!

I was linked to you, but then you asked me to unlink when there were some privacy issues, and now I've forgotten how to link.
