One Week Down

Last week was a whirlwind!

Monday, Sir Nottaguy-Imadad and I just had a relaxing day. We spent a lot of the time enjoying movies together and sitting in the air conditioning so I could breathe!

Tuesday and Wednesday were not so much fun because I was preparing for and having a minor procedure done. (All's well.)

Thursday, life ramped into overdrive! Mistie dropped Shanna off at dark o'clock, as Mistie was heading out of state to help a friend in need. By 3:30 in the afternoon, David Riley and Eva were at the house. Around 4:30 or so, the Lemon clan arrived. That meant that I had 6 of the 9 grandchildren in and around my house. Talk about lots of movement!!!!

Thursday night, the Lemon tots and Shanna spent the night. (Shanna will actually be here for several more days.) Then Jessica dropped Eva off on her way to work. So, Friday morning I had 4 toddlers between the ages of 3 and 1. Now, I know why God never blessed me with twins. By the time the rest of the Lemon clan got to my house, I needed a nap badly. The Lemons all left on a great-grandparent run, and I put Eva, Shanna and myself down for naps. We had a great cook-out at Jessica's house. (Rob is MARVELOUS with a grill and Jessica has a great sauce for pork chops!)

Saturday, Sir and I took Shanna, the Lemons and Jessica & kids to COSI for several hours of exploration and fun. Then we came home and ordered pizza and had ice cream cake to celebrate Mrs. Lemon's 31st birthday.

Sunday, the Lemons left for KY right after morning service. Sir, Shanna and I came home after lunch and took a 2.5 hour nap. AND did that ever feel wonderful!!

So far, the vacation has been marvelous. It's been so good to be able to do stuff at my own pace. It really makes me long for the time when I can really retire.

Aren't those naps just the most wonderful thing? :-) I love my naps!!! AND I am usually so in need of them by the time nap-time arrives.
Sounds like you had a busy but blessed time with your family, Theresa! Hope you get to slow down a bit this second week!!
Blessings to you and Ross! ((HUGS))
