Saturday Get Togethers

Saturday was one of those fun days that don't come around nearly often enough!!! Liz was able to come up from Kentucky for the day. (Dustin had planned to come, but exhaustion took over since he worked all night Friday. ) We were working on a family project together, so it was really necessary for her to come for a few hours at least.

While we had both of the girls at the house, and David Riley, we decided to get an impromptu 4 generation picture. Mom hadn't been feeling well, so it took a little talking to get her to let us take the picture, but we got it!!!

I did some fast talking (and a little whining!) and Liz called Dustin to see if she could stay Saturday night to go to the church hayride with us. As you can see by the pictures, Dustin thought it would be okay! However, because Liz hadn't planned on spending the night, or going to the hayride, she had to borrow warmer clothes from me and her Dad and she borrowed a blanket from one of her good friends, Missy. A good time was had by all (at least all who stayed close to the bonfire)!!! There was lots of time to chat and catch up on each other's lives.

I love times like this!!!

It was sooo nice to see Liz again...and some of us who were by the fire were too warm...my darriere was a little too hot at one point ...come to find out it's because some sparks from the fire was burning...(I mean warming) my bottom...fun times!!!

Oh, I remember the first time we came to the hog roast. I had never seen so much food in one place in my whole life!!! Oh my word!! And then there was the hayride....I loved it.....riding through the amish countryside. It was the longest hayride I had ever been on and I'm not complaining. The only thing I didn't like about it was how fast (speedwise) we went. Whoooooo!! Irregardless, we had a ball!!
