This has been one of the most disjointed weeks I have had in a long time!
Monday was just a nice day. I worked my 8 hours, then came home and fixed supper and started sewing again. (I've been busily making skirts and jumpers for Abby, because she decided to go through a 3" growth spurt this summer and NOTHING was long enough.)
Tuesday, I took a jean skirt to work to hem during our down time. (Read this about the no reading policy.) The supervisors/assistant managers didn't have a problem with that, but evidently a certain 19 yr. old co-worker did since she made a point to say several somethings about it. She is being increasingly hard to get along with, I really hope she transfers to a different job soon.
Wednesday I was off, so Jessica and I went to Columbus to check out the clearance racks at Old Navy and Sears for some nice soft pants and hoodies for Jonathan. (He started Kindergarten this year. It just doesn't seem possible.)
Yesterday, after work I went to get Eva from her babysitter, and was greeted with great whining and gnashing of gums. The poor baby is teething and is making sure that the whole world knows just how miserable she is. She's not sleeping well. She's napping in 15-20 minute stretches. AND! SHE! WANTS! TO! BE! HELD! AT! ALL! TIMES!
We've tried Infant Tylenol and Baby Orajel, but they are not even making her comfortable. I'm getting to the point of giving her one of those freezer pop tubes to gnaw. I figure I can wash it off and re-freeze it until such time as a tooth actually comes through and she puts a hole in the plastic. (She won't use teething rings.)
Oh, and last night, Sir Nottaguy-Imadad had the second part of his sleep study done, so that meant I got the whole bed to myself (except for the half where the scared-of storms dog was camped out). I know some women who have trouble being in a house by themselves at night, or sleeping by themselves--I am NOT one of them! No siree-bob!! I stretched myself out to read and evidently fell asleep pretty soon, because I woke up about midnight with the light still on and the book tucked across the side of my face. That was an easy fix--put a marker in the book, take the glasses off and turn the light out and I don't remember another thing until my alarm went off at 6 a.m. At that point I became aware that we were having a thunder storm and that the dog had confiscated a good portion of the bed trying to wake me up to protect him from the Evil Thunder Monster.
Well, we'll see how today goes. It is the last Friday of the month, so I'm sure my window will be pretty busy with businesses trying to get end of month stuff posted. Hopefully, I can keep my pretend invisible walls up for sanity. We will have David Riley and Eva tonight until one of their parents get home from work.
What has your week been like??

Aren't petty co-workers just a pain?! *sighhhhh*
I'm not sewing but I am crocheting like a crazy woman in making OSU afghans for some friends and enjoying it! I'm trying to get a couple of them done before next Friday's game!!! :-)
Little Jaylon had another lower tooth break through this week. He has four on the top and three on the bottom now. He does't fuss with them but does he ever droooolll. Whoa!! And he does get a little warm to the touch and clingy. I'll say a prayer for little Eva, bless her heart.
And I don't have a problem sleeping by myself either, at times, Theresa. It's so nice to be able to just hog the whole bed! :-)
Have a wonderful weekend!! ((HUGS))
You know how my week has gone... he he he
Jewel, I hope you get those afghans finished. Sure wouldn't want any OSU fans getting chilly while they watch the opening game!
Yes, Ninja, I'm well aware of how your week has gone. It's all good!
