Back to Work

Today was the first day back to work. hip, hip, hooray! (Can't you feel the enthusiasm???) Actually, it wasn't so bad. We stayed busy most of the day because it was the Monday after a holiday.

Ross (the Wonder-Husband) spent today Christmas shopping with my mother. They managed to pretty much complete her shopping without anyone getting knick-knacks! (This is a minor miracle, because my mother thinks that everyone likes to have "prettys" to set around.)

I'm waiting for the timer to go off for the casserole that I am making for supper. It is actually an experiment in getting rid of leftovers: a little turkey, a little ham, some mixed veggies, a little gravy, a box of Stove Top stuffing and some cheese to make it look fancier. Hopefully, it will taste as good as it is smelling.

After supper, Ross and I are going to do a little rearranging and cleaning in the living room so that we can set up the Christmas tree. I might even get in the mood to decorate it. (I'm having a little trouble working up the Holiday spirit.)

Have a wonderful evening, Folks!

I've had my tree up for about three or four days and still haven't decorated it...*sigh* But the outside of the house looks really nice!! *grin* The tree does have lights on it, so that's something,hm? Oh, and I found a recipe that uses leftover turkey that looks pretty good. Here is the link. I usually make turkey salad with our leftover turkey or I make turkey stew and if you would like that recipe I'll send it to you,k? Happy Holidays!!! *smile* ((HUGS))

I have to go to school tomorrow. *blech* today was my official first day back but I had some kind of bug so I had to stay home. I think I have about the same amount of enthusiasm as you. haha.

I think I will be more holiday-ish when it snows. Probably this weekend, according to the Weather Channel. Which is, of course, gospel truth.
