Let the Madness Begin!

While my husband, Ross, and daughter, Jessica, left to shop at 4:30 a.m., David Riley and I opted to stay in bed for another 2 1/2 hours. I have never quite figured out the fun in getting out of bed while it is still dark to go shopping! (I have enough trouble convincing myself to get up and go to work when it is still dark!)

When I did get the boy up, we had to get him dressed and fed quickly, because he was going with the adopted grandkids, Abby, Jonathan, and Hunter, to get pictures made. They turned out wonderful as you can see:
Left to right: Hunter, 14 months old; Abby, 5 yrs. old; Jonathan, 3 yrs. old; and David Riley, 5 yrs. old.

What is so fun is that even though there is no biological connection, the kids look enough alike to be related!!

I can barely believe that they are getting as big as they are. Hunter will be starting to walk before long. Abby and David Riley are Kindergartners, and Jonathan will be starting pre-school before very long. I think grandkids grow up faster than my girls did! **big grin**

If I understand the reports correctly, Ross and Jessica are just about finished in Columbus and are heading to Newark to do the last of their shopping for today. They've been shopping for almost 11 hours (minus travel time)--I don't know how they do it!!! I am ever so grateful that Ross likes (yes, this is a mild term) to shop--I would just buy everyone gift cards and tell them to do their own shopping!!

If you are shopping, I hope you are enjoying it--If you are like me, I hope you have someone you trust to do your shopping for you. (Or that you have relatives that are not offended by gift cards!)

Have a great day!
