1. Knowing that there is a container of peanut butter fudge in my house is a dangerous thing!!! I had two pieces with breakfast, then had (**big grin**) to grab another piece to eat on the way to the grocery store. If I'm not careful, there won't be any for anyone else to eat after supper tonight.
2. The chili that I ate at Kenyon Inn today for lunch was wonderful, and it tasted very similiar to the chili that Steak and Shake sells!! (All that was needed to make it perfect was shredded cheese and diced onions! yum!)
3. My young friend, Debi (Smithhisler) Ackerman, gave birth to a healthy baby boy last night around 10:30. He weighed 7 lbs., 7 oz., and was 20 1/2 inches long. So far, she and Nate have not come to a definite agreement on a name. I'm just so thankful that all went well for them!!
4. Robbie, Jessica, and David Riley are coming for supper tonight. I'm doing "the Thanksgiving thing" as they term it. We are having turkey breast cutlets (that I am cooking in the crockpot with gravy), stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn, cranberry salad, rolls, fudge, and pumpkin pie. Jessica will act like she's going to get sick everytime someone takes a bite of whipped cream with their pie, but other than that I'm sure everybody will eat their fill. (I wish Dustin and Liz could be here, but that's the hazard of having family that lives 2+ hours away.)
5. I am not looking forward to dealing with my emotions about my brother with this Holiday season rolling in! My sister-in-law, Beth, and I talked for almost an hour yesterday. It was probably the best conversation that we have had in several months, and we managed to stay dry-eyed the whole time. Oh, how I miss hearing my brother harrass Beth and I for our long phone calls!
6. I'm going to work on another alteration today, and see if I can get Abby's dress cut out. I would really like to have it made before I go back to work next week. I've, also, been trying to work on a quilted wall-hanging that Jessica helped me design for over their fireplace. I have so many projects started, if I retired today, I wouldn't have time to get bored for several years!!!
Well, have a wonderful day, Folks! I'm going to go check out Donnie Ryan's blog, his daughter, Becky's blog, and Jewel's blog, and then I'm heading upstairs for some sewing machine time.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Think about all of the things we have to be thankful for!!
