Yesterday the Wonder Husband and I took a quick trip to the local Goodwill store. They were having a MLK, Jr. sale--25% off everything in the store.
I decided to go check out the skirts and dresses. Found a few things, tried them on, two of the skirts fit beautifully (one was a silk Liz Claiborne that looked nearly new!). The Wonder Husband decided to help me look through the dresses, and he found a beautiful maroon jumper (stretch denim!) and a flowered dress (Bryn Connelly!). Both fit!
I bought both skirts, the jumper and the dress (just can't pass up a Bryn Connelly in my size--even if it were the ugliest thing on earth!). The total, with the discount, was about $11. Then I found a $20 bill in the pocket of the dress!!! YESSSSSS!!!! $9 profit on a Goodwill purchase!!!!
You just gotta love those kinds of happenings!!!

I went to the dollar tree and wasted $10 - it was fun.
I have GOT to thrift store shop with you, I guess. I used to work at one, for heaven's sake, and could NEVER find good deals or things that fit. Except once I did get my husband a very nice suit coat and pants for $5 that required no significant altering. THAT was awesome, coming out of grad school with not two dimes to rub together. You truly do gotta love it.
I typically don't have good luck at thrift stores. I'm not sure why. It's certainly not because I have picky tastes, LOL.
